The Commerce Department has been formally established and today launches its official website at commerce.gov.vin, where the register of licensed markets, trader licensing guidance and the competition rules of the Network are published.

All news- Commerce Department Publishes Register of Twelve Licensed Markets
Twelve markets at the six principal sites of the Network hold a market licence from today, with 1,084 licensed pitches between them. The register, with market days and opening hours, is published from today.
- Commerce Department Opens Trader Licensing and Confirms 3,146 Licences in Force
Applications for a trader licence are accepted from Monday 7 September 2026. The 3,146 provisional registrations recorded during the transition period were converted to full licences at establishment.
- Commerce Department Publishes Competition Rules and Complaints Procedure
The competition rules of the Network, the thresholds for notifying a merger and the procedure for making a complaint about anti-competitive conduct are published from today.
About the Department
The Commerce Department of the Velocity Interoperability Network is responsible for markets, competition and trader licensing within the Velocity Interoperability Network.
It licenses and supervises the markets at the sites of the Network, licenses the traders who sell there and elsewhere, applies the competition rules to agreements, conduct and mergers between undertakings, and publishes statistics on all three.
