The Commerce Department of the Velocity Interoperability Network has been formally established. The Department is responsible for the licensing and supervision of markets at the sites of the Network, for the licensing of traders, and for the application of the competition rules of the Network to agreements, conduct and mergers between undertakings.

With its establishment complete, the Department today launches its official website at commerce.gov.vin. The site carries press releases and official statements, the register of licensed markets, guidance on applying for and holding a trader licence, the schedule of fees and charges, the competition rules, and the Department's statistics.

The publication of the register of licensed markets, the opening of trader licensing and the publication of the competition rules and complaints procedure are the subject of separate announcements published today. The Department's first quarterly bulletin, covering the quarter ending 30 September 2026, will be published in October. General enquiries may be sent to contact@commerce.gov.vin.
